Sanofi Google launches diabetes joint venture. The health subsidiary of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, Verily and a drug maker together signed a bond that is mainly focusing on the treatment for people, who are living with never ending diseases. On Monday, the Google and the renowned pharmaceutical company of French, Sanofi had announced the new joint venture that mainly focuses on the diabetes care.

On Monday, the Google and the renowned pharmaceutical company of French, Sanofi had announced the new joint venture that mainly focuses on the diabetes care. The information about some facts is inadequate like: what the company’s products would appear like? When they will reach the market? However, they are looking forward to combine the drugmaker’s clinical expertise with the tech compnay’s background in analytics and mini devices. The head of Sanofi’s diabetes business Stefan Oelrich informed the media that initially the venture will consist of connecting existing products then later we can expect innovations to arrive quickly as compare to that pharmaceutical research programme starting from scratch.

The venture is named as Onduo, which will focus on type two diabetes, as it is more common form of disease. The type two disease is frequently found disease globally as the obesity rate is increasing rapidly.

The new company will be based in the US town of Cambridge, near Boston, which is the epicentreof Global Biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Sanofi already has its presence in this town. The Verily is a part of Google’s X lab and previously it had partnership with with Pharma giant including Johnson & Johnson to develop surgical robots and in a bioelectronic venture with UK-based GlaxoSmithKline.
