Will Donald Trump Meet North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un for World Peace
President Trump has cancelled his historic summit in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He has accused North Korea of tremendous anger and open hostility. This was the meeting that would have marked the first face-to-face encounter between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader. However, it got cancelled. Trump has also given a message by saying that You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.
On June 12, President Trump was supposed to meet the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for talks. In this meeting, they were to discuss the denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
News about this meeting had astounded Washington’s political leadership and foreign policy analysts who as recently as last month were fretting over the possibility of a military conflagration on the Korean Peninsula. It is observed that the Trump and Kim have spent the past year making aggressive statements about each other. Trump had even called Kim as “Little Rocket Man” and pledging to “totally destroy” North Korea. On the other hand, Kim called the American president as a “dotard” and a “lunatic” and threatening to send nuclear bombs to Washington, D.C.
