Wait, What??? Did Rahul Gandhi Hug PM Narendra Modi?

July 21, 2018

Today, in the parliament, a jaw dropping scene was seen during the no-confidence motion debate. Rahul Gandhi, who is the president of congress, said directly to Narendra Modi that “you may call me Pappu, but I don’t hate you,”. He looked into the eyes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then walked across to hug him.

Everyone was in shock to see this gesture of Rahul Gandhi. Some consider it as genuine while others think its part of some drama. However, all other members were in shock.

It all began when, the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, disapproved and admonished Rahul Gandhi when he was constantly attacking on the Prime Minister directly on subjects ranging from the Rafale deal to GST, demonetisation and foreign policy. Rahul Gandhi was targeting PM repeatedly. He also said “You can’t look me in the eye.”

PM simply smiled on this while he was sitting directly across. Now came the twist.

Then he started his drama and said “You can abuse me, you can call me Pappu, but I don’t have a speck of hatred against you. I will take out this hatred out of you and turn it into love. I am the Congress,” said Mr Gandhi, making an astonishing reference to the pejorative rivals use for him.
