Train Accident in Madhya Pradesh – Prime Minister Narendra Modi Announces Rs. 2 Lakh Compensation
Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs to those, who were killed in the train accident in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister expressed pain over the loss of lives in the accident.
The compensation was approved from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and will be in addition to the relief assistance already announced by the Railways, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Compensation of Rs. 50,000 announced the PMO who were seriously injured in the train accident.
Mumbai-Varanasi Kamayani Express and the Mumbai-Jabalpur Janata Express derailed from the tracks close to Harda, about 160 kilometers from state capital Bhopal
40 people injured and 28 people were killed.
Railway officials said that the heavy rainfall has weakened the drain over which the train was travelling.
The train accidents in Madhya Pradesh are deeply pained over the loss of lives. Prime Minister had tweeted earlier.
