Today, Gold and Silver Were Moving In the Opposite Directions

Today, in the morning trade, both the precious metals gold and silver were moving in the opposite directions.
At around 11 am, MCX Gold futures were trading 0.4 per cent, or Rs 120 higher at Rs 29,788 per 10 grams, while MCX Silver futures were down 0.41 per cent, or Rs 158, at Rs 37,969 per 1 kg at the same time.
The world’s largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings stood at 786.08 tonnes, remain unchanged from the previous business day.
Holdings of the largest silver-backed exchange-traded-fund, New York’s iShares Silver Trust SLV, stood at 10177.78 down 38.03 tonnes, from the previous business day.
