Rajinikanth Attacked Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami for Not Being a Part of M Karunanidhi’s Funeral Ceremony
On August 7, DMK chief M. Karunanidhi took his last breath. He was declared dead at 6:10 pm. The minister was given a state funeral and 7 days mourning by the state authorities.
Karunanidhi’s funeral ceremony was held on August 8 at Marina beach in Chennai.
Unfortunately, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami was unable to attend the late DMK chief M. Karunanidhi’s funeral on August 8. He was attacked by the veteran actor, Rajinikanth for not being a part of Funeral ceremony of DMK patriarch.
Few months ago, Rajinikanth has announced his entry into politics. He also visited Karunanidhi after declaring his entry into politics. Rajini had visited the DMK chief to seek his blessings before entering the politics.
When AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu denied granting permission for Karunanidhi’s burial to take place at Marina Beach in Chennai, Rajinikanth protested it and fought for the approval. He also filed a plea in the Madras High Court after the state government had said no to Karunanidhi’s burial at the Marina Beach.
Then court allowed the DMK to carry out Karunanidhi’s funeral at the beach.
