March 16, 2018

Ajay Devgn has undoubtedly proven himself as a stellar performer. The two time National Film Award winning actor is back with his new film Raid, a film in which he is essaying the role of the  gritty Income Tax officer. The film hits theatre today with Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla.

The Baadshaho actor has proven his versatility many times and now he is impressing with the role of Amay Patnaik, a Deputy Commisioner of Income Tax.  Director Raj Kumar Gupta, who has given us movies like Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, the expectations were high. The movie is not likely to touch Gangaajal or Drishyam but it keeps you riveted throughout its runtime.

Trade analyst and senior film critic Taran Adarsh gave Raid 4 stars and said, “#Raid works for two major reasons: Watertight screenwriting + sharp performances [Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla are brilliant]… The face-off between the two is the USP… Ileana is decent… Amongst the supporting cast, actor portraying Saurabh Shukla’s mother is tremendous…#Aamir and #NoOneKilledJessica director Raj Kumar Gupta delivers a solid film… #Raid is his best work to date… Also, the dialogue-baazi is sure to be greeted with whistles and claps… Word of mouth will help the biz grow. #OneWordReview… #Raid: SUPERB. Rating:- This nail-biting thriller is smart, engaging, gripping and entertaining… Go for it! (sic).”

Ajay Devgn was seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham as a tough cop and in Raid, he plays an IT officer who is on a mission to uncover the corrupt. The audience loves to see him in tough role and this movie is proved to be a treat for them.
