P.M. Modi Delivered His Fifth Independence Day Speech

On the Occasion of 72nd Independence Day Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his speech from the Red Fort. His speech today included the achievements of his government in the past four years. He compared the previous regime with his current government. He said India has emerged as the fifth largest economy in his tenure.

Further, he credited the success of Goods and Services Tax Bill to his government and said that the opposition didn’t want the GST Bill to pass but now it is a success and thanked the business community for the same.

He brought to highlight the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan which will be launched on 25 September this year. This scheme will be launched to ensure healthcare services for the poor of the country. The launch will be held on the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyay.

He also brought to limelight the move of the government to end triple Talaq.

He said that an Indian astronaut will go to space by 2022 on “Gaganyaan”. He said, “When India celebrates 75th year of Independence in 2022, and if possible even before, an Indian son or daughter will undertake a manned space mission on board ‘Gaganyaan’ carrying the national flag”.
