Kriti Sanon’s performance in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is admired by one and all and she received immense love from audiences as well as celebrities. Now the 27-year-old actress has won Dadasaheb Phalke excellence award 2018 for a memorable performance in a lead role (Female) for her sleeper hit film ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’.
Kriti Sanon nailed the role of Bitti, a young and free minded girl, from a small town, Bareilly in the movie. Apart from the prestigious award, Kriti has won many other awards for her film.
In four years of career, Kriti has upped and ante with each character. She has made her Bollywood debut with ‘Heropanti’ opposite Tiger Shroff.
Along with Kriti, actress Anushka Sharma, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ranveer Singh have also been chosen as the recipients of the honor. Anushka Sharma will be awarded for her efforts in backing clutter-breaking content which has become a genre-defining success stories. Tamannaah will receive the award for her performance in ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and Ranveer Singh for his performance in Padmaavat. The winners will be honored by the Mumbai-based Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation on April 21.
On the work front, Kriti Sanon is busy in shooting ‘Arjun Patiala’ in Panjab along with Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma. Directed by Rohit Jugraj the film is scheduled to release on September 13. She is also a part of ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Panipat’.
