Imran Khan Sworn in As the Prime Minister of Pakistan

Imran Khan was sworn in as the next prime minister of Pakistan today. He entered the politics about 22 years ago. He was the chairman of his political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He was sworn in by the Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussain.

He was a former cricketer and led the Pakistan national cricket team to victory in the 1992 cricket world cup. He had invited his former teammates to his oath ceremony. He had also invited some Indian cricketers that included Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev. He announced after his victory that he would not reside in the official residence meant for the P.M. instead would live in one of the P.M. staff quarters. His cabinet for now will have only 12-15 top positions and will be expanded overtime.

He was born in Lahore in 1952 in an affluent family. He attended elite schools including Oxford. He has been married thrice and has two children. He has promised to the people that he would work for the   development and betterment of the people. He said that he will answer the people twice every month during the question-answer session in the Assembly.
