Google Doodle Celebrates 78th Birthday of Dilip Sardesai

Dilip Sardesai does not need any introduction as he is one of the strongest batsmans of India. He is the only batsman of Goa to represent India. He is also represented as the India’s best batsman against spin bowling.

He was born in Margao Portugese India on 8th August 1940. Google honored Dilip Sardesai by doodling his picture on his 78th birthday.

Sardesai made his first mark in cricket in the inter-university Rohinton Baria Trophy in 1959–60 where he made 435 runs at an average of 87.

On 2nd of July, 2007, Dilip died due to multiple organ failure. Last riots were performed by his son, Rajdeeep Sardesai, who is renowned news anchor and author. At present he is a consulting editor at the India Today group, and hosts India Today Television.
