Eid-Ul-Fitar – India Celebrates Eid Today

Today, On 16 June, India celebrates Eid after Ramadaan, when the new moon was sighted on Friday. On Friday, at around 7.35 p.m the new moon was sighted and announced by Shahi Imam Bukhari  of Jama Masjid.

He conveyed his heartiest greetings and good wishes to all on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan/Ramzan.

On this holy occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation. Taking to his Twitter handle, President Kovind wished for joy and mutual goodwill among the people of the nation.
