Continue Diwali Celebrations by Watching Thugs of Hindostan
Thugs of Hindostan, arguably the most-anticipated film of this year, has released in the theatres today. The epic action-adventure, starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, has created astounding buzz. Thugs of Hindostan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the film production banner of Yash Raj Films, is reportedly the costliest Hindi film ever made. The film is also releasing in IMAX and 4DX formats.
The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’and is about a gang who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India (then known as Hindustan or Hindostan) during the early 19th century.
Amitabh Bachchan was said to be super excited about his new role in Thugs Of Hindostan: “Mr Bachchan was so kicked about singing this lullaby that he decided to record it himself and that too at his home! The initial idea was to make a short lullaby but Mr Bachchan went a step further and converted it into a song. He is insisting that Aditya (Chopra) puts it into the album,” a source was quoted as saying to a leading daily.
