BREAKING NEWS! Daler Mehndi convicted of human trafficking; sentenced to two years of imprisonment

This is extremely shocking news that stunned us, singer Daler Mehandi has been proved guilty in human trafficking case on Friday, March 16. The case against Daler Mehandi was filed in 2003 and suspected that the singer with brother Shamsher Singh had taken two groups in 1998 and 1999 to the US. During the period, 10 people were taken as group members to America and dropped off illegally. In 1998, Daler had supposedly taken three girls at San Francisco and then three boys at New Jersey in October 1999 in which both the brothers were involved.

Soon after a man named Bakshish Singh filed a complaint, the Patiala Police registered a case against Daler and Shamsher Singh. Apart from this, 35 other complaints unveiled leveling charges of fraud against the two. The complaints had suspected that the brothers had taken passage money from them in order to help them migrate to America illegally, but couldn’t do so. Patiala Police even raided the Daler’s offices at Connaught Place in New Delhi and seized documents. The documents also having the files of those who had paid them the passage money.

Patiala Police had filed two discharge petitions that stated that the brothers are innocent but the court defended the petitions and asked for the singer to be taken legal action as there was adequate evidence against him on the judicial file and scope for further investigation.

The singer twitted just before the he convicted and it is clear with his tweet that Daler was not expecting such an outcome of the case. He talked about loving one’s soul.
