Bank Strike for Two Days over Salary Hike

May 30, 2018

All the bankers countrywide have decided to go on a strike starting from 30th May to 31st May 2018 to protest against the salary hike. Earlier in this month, IBA offered a 2 percent rise in the total wage bill of the banks. However, this got rejected by the Bank Unions.

The United Forum of Bank Unions was not satisfied with the hike offered by IBA. Thus, they have announced the strike to fight for the mere 2 percent hike in the salaries of the bank employees. The purpose for the strike is to attain a fair salary with a quick wage revision, including other service improvements as well.
