Bank Stocks Were Trading Mixed During Tuesday’s Session
On Tuesday, the bank stocks were trading mixed during afternoon trading session. It was reported that the Nifty Bank index was 0.32 per cent up at 25,049 at 12 pm, with six stocks advancing and an equal number of stocks declining.
The top gainers in the bank index are the shares of YES Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank and State Bank of India were the gainers in the bank index.
On the flip side, Punjab National Bank, IDFC Bank, RBL Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank and Federal Bank were the losers in the index.
Domestic equity market benchmarks Sensex and Nifty were in the green zone on gains in a select heavyweight counters, including Infosys, HDFC, Axis Bank and Hindustan Unilever.
On the other hand, an uptick in global crude oil prices and subdued rupee capped the gains of the benchmarks.
Today, the NSE Nifty50 index was up 19 points at 10,986, while the BSE Sensex was up 97 points at 36,402.
Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
The other stocks those were among the top Nifty gainers are YES Bank, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and Infosys.
The top losers those were in the Nifty index are Indiabulls Housing Finance, GAIL, Coal India, BPCL and HPCL.
