An Organ Donor Saves As many As 50 Lives – Let’s Gift a Organ on This World Organ Day 2018
As per some reports, 5 lakhs Indians are dying every year due to failure of many important organs. Each part of our body is important. We cannot imagine our life without any part of our body. We should value each and every part of our body and take care of them as we are blessed to have them.
Have you ever thought about those who are born with damaged parts or who accidently lose any part of their body? Such people face lots of challenges every day.
Today is World Organ Donation Day. This is celebrated every year on 13th August.
In India, the need for organ donors is bigger than ever. About 50 percent of the population is registered organ, eye and tissue donors.
For donating your organ, no one is too young or too old to donate. If you think you are too young to take this decision then you can talk to your parents regarding this. Your parents or legal guardian can authorize this decision.
If you think you are too old to take this decision then you must know that there is no defined cutoff age for donating organs.
